About Us

Many dogs struggle to show their true personalities in traditional kennel environments. We partner with K9 Pet Resort to place rescue dogs into a calm, professionally staffed pet resort while they wait to be adopted, giving them space to decompress, gain confidence, and be truly seen.

We work with any rescue organization that uses a foster-based adoption model. Rescues retain full ownership and adoption authority, while Before Home covers the cost of the dog’s stay. Approved adopters can meet dogs at the resort with support from our volunteers.

This program offers an alternative when foster homes are unavailable and aims to create better matches, fewer failed adoptions, and a more humane path from shelter to home.
